A Preliminary Ecological Assesment also known as an Extended Phase 1 Habitat Survey has been scheduled on the 21st July 2023. This is to evaluate the existing ecological value of the site and to identify any ecological constraints to the proposed development

DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVELOPMENT

The Proposed Development is located at Tŷ Du Uchaf, Pentreuchaf, Pwhllheli,
Gwynedd, North Wales, LL53 6YB (O
S grid reference SH 36520 39909) on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales between Pwllheli in the south and Trefor in
the North.

The Site is approximately 5 hectares in area. It is currently used as an agricultural field for grazing, with estimated low ecological value and the Site boundary is lined with mature trees and hedgerows. There is an open ditch flowing from the east of the Site towards the centre and then splitting into two ditches, flowing towards the southern and western boundary of the Site.
The Proposed Development is surrounded by farm holdings and agricultural
fields used either for grazing or cultivation purposes. Low density forest, coniferous,
native woodland, and felled woodland, young trees and shrub can be found within 5km radius of the Site.

The Proposed Development comprises the following key components:
 6.6MWp of solar array
 6MWh of battery storage
 2no. 40ft and 2no. 20ft containers for the battery storage
 Bespoke compound for the inverters/switchgear
 1no. 20ft container for battery inverter
 1no. 20ft container for an office
 Substation/transformer in the middle of the Site and 5m x 5m fenced compound
 2 container-­sized spaces for spare/parking.
